Elena’s session targets startup founders and entrepreneurs involved in the early-stage startup ecosystem. It includes tips for improving pitch decks, common mistakes to avoid during pitches, and insights on investor behavior and preferences.

Elena will delve deeper into the art of storytelling in pitches, and share effective presentation tools and some presenting and communication tips. After the session, you will understand what are some key factors that investors consider when reviewing pitch decks and how can founders increase their chances of successfully raising funds during the pre-seed stage.

Trainer's Short BIO

Elena Mazhuha was the first employee at Flyer One Ventures back in 2019. Being responsible for deal sourcing, she led over 15 investments in companies like MUNCHER, Prodly, Awesomic, 99math, Hacker Noon, Allset, 3DLOOK, AllRight, and PromoRepublic.

She also worked with more than 2000 of startups, helping them with advice, funding opportunities, and partnerships. Before joining Flyer One Ventures, she worked at Citibank, and TA Ventures.

Elena created a Communications team to support Flyer One Ventures’ portfolio companies. They’ve helped these companies get featured in top media outlets like Business Insider, TechCrunch, Venture Beat, Forbes, Sifted, and Crunchbase News.

The team also helped them partner with big companies like Notion, Zendesk, AWS, Carta, Typeform, and Intercom.

In 2023, Elena shifted her focus entirely to investments and got promoted to the Partner role.
